A refreshing and light dish, typical of Latin American cuisine, where tilapia cubes are marinated in lime juice for an acidic and flavorful 'cooking' process.

Ingredients

  • tilapia fillets 4
  • lime juice 3 units
  • garlic paste 1/4 teaspoon
  • hot sauce 3 drops
  • tomatoes 2 units

Preparation

  1. 1

Clean the 4 tilapia fillets and cut them into uniform medium cubes.

  2. 2

Dice the 2 tomatoes into small cubes, removing the seeds if desired.

  3. 3

In a glass or ceramic bowl, place the fish cubes.

  4. 4

Add the juice of 3 limes over the fish, ensuring all pieces are covered.

  5. 5

Mix 1/4 teaspoon of garlic paste and the 3 drops of hot sauce into the fish.

  6. 6

Add the 2 diced tomatoes to the mixture.

  7. 7

Place the bowl in the refrigerator and let it marinate for about 3 hours so the lime acid cooks the fish.

  8. 8

Remove from the refrigerator and serve immediately, ensuring the fish is well chilled.
