by Tavolino
A warming winter dessert with tart apples, filled with an aromatic mixture of marzipan, almonds, raisins, and cinnamon, baked to perfection.

Ingredients
- tart apples 4 pieces
- marzipan paste 100 g
- slivered almonds 100 g
- butter, room temperature 50 g
- sultanas or raisins 30 g
- cinnamon powder 1 pinch
- jarred cranberries 2 tbsp
- lemon 1/2 piece
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat.
- 2
Wash the 4 tart apples, cut off the tops, and scoop out the cores generously, making sure to leave the bottom intact.
- 3
Rub the apples with the juice of the 1/2 lemon so they do not turn brown.
- 4
Cut the 100 g of marzipan paste into small pieces and place in a bowl.
- 5
Add the 50 g of butter, 100 g of slivered almonds, 30 g of sultanas or raisins, and 1 pinch of cinnamon powder to the marzipan.
- 6
Knead the ingredients in the bowl thoroughly into a uniform mixture.
- 7
Fill the hollowed-out apples evenly with the marzipan mixture.
- 8
Place a dollop of the 2 tbsp of cranberries on top of the filling in each apple.
- 9
Place the apples in a baking dish and put the cut-off apple tops back on.
- 10
Bake the apples in the preheated oven for 25 minutes until they are soft.
- 11
Remove the baked apples from the oven and let them cool briefly before serving.
