Ingredients
- Sliced bread 2 slices
- Ham 1 slice
- Hot dog sausage 1 unit
- Veal steak 1 unit
- Sliced cheese 4 slices
- Egg 1 unit
- Olive oil 2 tablespoons
- Butter 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Onion 1 small unit
- Garlic 1 clove
- Red chili pepper 1/2 unit
- Bay leaf 1 unit
- Canned diced tomatoes 1/2 can
- Beer 100 ml
- White wine 50 ml
- Water 100 ml
- Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon
- Beef bouillon cube 1 cube
- Cornstarch 1 teaspoon
- Port wine 1 teaspoon
Preparation
- 1
Finely chop the onion and the garlic clove. Sauté them in 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of butter until golden.
- 2
Add 1/2 chopped red chili pepper, 1 bay leaf, and 1/2 can of diced tomatoes to the sauté.
- 3
Add 100 ml of beer, 50 ml of white wine, 100 ml of water, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 beef bouillon cube.
- 4
Let the sauce simmer over low heat for 30 minutes to develop the flavors.
- 5
Blend the sauce with an immersion blender. Add 1 teaspoon of dissolved cornstarch and 1 teaspoon of Port wine.
- 6
Let the sauce boil for another 5 minutes to thicken and set aside.
- 7
Season 1 veal steak with salt and black pepper. Grill the steak in a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil until cooked to your liking.
- 8
Cut 1 hot dog sausage in half lengthwise and lightly grill it.
- 9
Fry 1 egg in a frying pan, keeping the yolk runny.
- 10
Assemble the sandwich: place 1 slice of bread, 1 slice of ham, the steak, and the sausage. Cover with another slice of bread.
- 11
Place 4 slices of cheese over the sandwich, covering the entire top and sides.
- 12
Place in the oven at 200°C just to brown and melt the cheese for 10 minutes.
- 13
Remove from the oven, place the fried egg on top, and pour the hot sauce over the entire sandwich before serving.
